While, my stats show that you my darling readers are primarily adult females ages 28 - 50, the occasional teenager seems to enjoy visiting these pages. Probably because of my Twilight induced taste for YA novels.
Because of this, and the fact that I also enjoy reading a bit of smut...I'm trying to get organized and labeling my naughtier reads in a category called Parajunkee After Hours.
So if you see that header it means it's for --- well I think it is obvious -- Adults Only. You can also find it on the sidebar and those novels will all soon be listed in one area.

ReplyDeleteI'm rather surprised by the demographics of this site. I really thought it would be younger. Does this info surprise you? Anyway, I love visiting here and you always have interesting stuff on hand.

ReplyDeleteI did something similar at my site, using an advisory button for 18+ letting my readers know that those novels are strictly for adults. It seems like a good idea especially if you like reading YA and adult novels. Will definitely be keeping eye out for that button :)

ReplyDelete@June G - I figured that it was the same as me and my girlfriends which is 25 - 40 so that is pretty right on. I was surprised I didn't pick up a lot more 18 - 30 range, but I guess those girls are more outspoken in the comments. It really does surprise me when a teenager contacts me...I get scared, LOL. Also, I've had a few parents actually tell me that their teen showed them my site. I hope I'm not corrupting the youth. LOL
@Steph - It is just an average that comes up on my site statistics - it is not a guideline...please keep coming back LOL

@Wenj - I think it is just more appropriate...I don't want to add that button that says adult content, and I don't want to put naked man buttons down the side, so I think I'm cool
