House of Night Trailer

Does anyone else think these book trailers can be cheesy? I do a lot of work with stock photos...and I recognize most of these people as jupiterimages...which cracks me up.

That was truly horrid (not in a good way). Plus, I've seen this series all over my library, in Target, prominently placed in B&N. What do they need a book trailer for anyway?

Some are pretty bad. Mostly I find them cute. This one is a little cheesy.

Some of them are okay. I like if they give me an inckling of what the book is about though. When there is not clue to something about the book I feel a little cheated. I always thought that was what a trailer was for, to give you an idea of whats to come. Oh well, I really don't watch to many of them, not when I have a wonderful world of bloggiends who can help me with books.

I just wrote about book trailers on my blog. But I had one that I liked, this one is awful and very, very cheesy. It looks like they took pictures of models and just stuck some symbols on their foreheads.

Most book trailers are cheesy, but there are some that are a definite attention grabber and very well done; unfortunately, those are few and far between.
