Character Connection

Character connection started by JG @ The Introverted Reader

We all have characters we love. Let's spotlight these fantastic creations! Whether you want to be friends with them or you have a full-blown crush on them, you know you love them and want everyone else to love them too!
My first Character Connection is going to be a character crush. Go figure. If you've read some of my other hottie spotlights, you've been updated on my vamp hotties, maybe even a few of the wolves.  Let me introduce you to my fae character crush.
Introducing the Oak King, Dorian.
"We came to a stop. On the throne sat a man, Dorian, I presumed. He looked bored. He leaned into the arm of his chair, one elbow propped on it so he could rest his chin in his hand. It sort of made him view us at an angle. Long auburn hair, reminiscent of the trees outside, hung around him, highlighted with every shade of red and gold conceivable. he could have been autumn incarnate. He had the most perfect skin I'd ever seen in such a vivid redhead: smooth and ivory, with no freckles or rosy color. A cloak of forest-green velvet covered unremarkable dark pants and a loose, white button-up shirt. He had well-shaped cheekbones and delicate features."
Storm Born (Dark Swan, Book 1)

From the Dark Swan Series by Richelle Mead. Dorian is introduced in the first book of the series, Storm Born.

I Love Dorian! He's so much better than Kiyo (as far as love interests go) in my opinion.

Haven't gotten a chance to read this series yet, but I'm looking forward to it! :)

I agree with Jacqueline, Dorian is a more interesting love interest. I almost found Kiyo a little annoying at times. Plust Kiyo was a bed jumber, she met, then slept with him and that was it. Dorian was work and development. I like development.

lol@ Barbara. Book slut....I love it.

I haven't read this series yet, either. But I think I need to. I looked it up....it sounds interesting.

Agree with u2, Jacqueline & Shera. I never liked Kiyo, he was a total PITA. I hope she pisses him off enough in Thorn Queen that he runs back to his baby mama and hides. LOL

@Nat & Tiff - read read read this series. I like this one better than her succubus and VA series.

Ooo, I like the pic! Where did that come from? Great description too!

I haven't read any of Mead's books yet, but she's definitely on my list.

Thanks for joining in!

must add to my reading pile--dang girl its getting too big and he is eye candy.

He looks almost tribal and the teaser sort of make him have the animal attraction thing.

I loved Storm Born and fell in love Dorian. That pictures is the perfect Dorian. Kiyo is just blah. Never liked him.

I haven't read that series but the photo of that guy makes me think of Nathaniel in the beginning of Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series- the long auburn/red hair and before he started beefing up and gaining his confidence.

@Jen - random Google search - you know how hard it was to find a relatively hot kinda guy with long red hair?
@Book Julie & Becky - add it!
@Mama - thanks! I was kinda surprised. Wish he had a cocky glint or something LOL
@Roxanne - I see it to.

WOW! How did you find such a perfect picture? I think I'm old enough to be this kids mother, but I can't help drooling over him!!!!

Precious!

P.S. Is Dorian in all the book of the series?

ParaJunkee said...

@Missie - Dorian while a somewhat minor roll in the first book, by the end of the 2nd book it seems he will be a major supporting character in the 3rd.

Love Dorian, I think he is trust worthy too. Can´t wait for the next book!
