PJV Sunday News & Winners

Happy Sunday folks.  Just wanted to keep people updated with the ins and outs of what is happening. First off just wanted to apologize because I haven't been socializing as much lately, not as much visiting and commenting going on, because its been one heck of a month. Hopefully after this weekend things might slow down a bit to allow me to read a bit more. I haven't been relying on Reader...been getting most of my posts through twitter.

I did manage to get out on a date night though with the hubby and we saw Alice in Wonderland.  If you haven't seen this movie yet, I highly recommend seeing it. But even though the rating is PG, I would keep the under 4 kids at home, it was a bit on the Fur-reaky side and may be a bit too scary for them.

3D also did enhance, so if you have some extra cash, go for the stunner. Acting was spot-on also. Mia Wasikowska, who played Alice was excellent and I can't wait to see her in the production of Jane Eyre, which is filming now.  I wasn't too impressed with Anne Hathaway, they had her moving in an odd sort of way, which should have looked more natural, instead of the forced way in which she did it. That was the only dislike I had about the movie. Go see it.

Also, like the dork I am, I nearly peed myself when I got to see the new TRON LEGACY trailer. Eeek. I'm going to have to wait until DECEMBER!

Closing on the 22nd will be the Angelology & Numbers giveaways. So if you haven't entered the contests, do so soon! (Go and hit CONTESTS - on my purply/pink navigation on the sidebar)

This has been a busy month for me too and I feel like reading has taken a back seat. Hope you get to curl up with a good book soon.

I think I need to date night Alice with my hubby too :)

The Alice movie really is fantastic, especially in 3D :) I was kind of hoping Alice would end up with the Mad Hatter, lol, I don't know why ... maybe it's Johnny Depp, maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic ;)

I totally agree with you about the strange way Anne Hathaway moved her arms about while walking or whatever ... it didn't add anything to the movie and did, in fact, just make her look silly bordering on stupid.

Otherwise - AWESOME! But, hey, I think everyone knew it would be a brilliant movie (",).

@Becky, thanks darlin', been managing to read, just not reading my blog buddies... :(
@JuJu I feel so lame now that we have to have scheduled date nights, LOL
@Bella - I did too! Even with those crazy eyes and odd dance I was hoping for a hook-up, LOL. Thanks for agreeing with me, I just always see AH as The Princess Diaries character, no matter what she plays. I don't think she is that good of an actress.

I agree with you about Anne Hathaway, but then I hate her acting in all her movies anyway!

One of my other complaints was the "dance" that Mad Hatter and Alice did...what was up with that?? It didn't fit in with the plot at all. It was just...weird.

Also...where was Dina, Alice's cat? They just skipped that part.

hey I agree about scheduling date nights. I know I'm excited to see Tron too. We got the orignal for my kids to watch. Haven't seen Alice yet.

I got to see Alice in Wonderland too over the weekend. We really enjoyed it. Tron looks like it could be rather neat to see, I am curious even just for the special effects.

Congrats to the winners! :)
