Pretty Buttons

I am officially six reviews in the whole and I can't catch up. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm totally putting off writing reviews because of doing odd things like this...

So...in commemoration of my slackerdome, you guys can have pretty buttons. If you want them of course. I can't write reviews cause I'm a slacker, I'm scared to read more cause I'm in the whole and of course I can't go to bed cause the stupid dance team that has decided to practice every night in the parking lot across the street from us --- blares their bass thumping nonsense until midnight on the nose when the "noise ordinance" kicks in. (I'm turning into an old person but it really is annoying)

Hehe..I know the feeling. The whole not wanting to read anymore when you're too many reviews in the hole. I did two yesterday but I still have three more to write and I just can't move myself to do it.

I like the buttons! I think I shall thieve one :)
With due credit of course.

I know exactly how you feel! A couple days ago I was only 4 reviews in the hole, but that still feels like a lot to me! Luckily, I mashed two into one and now I'm only two behind. But you kind of hit those funks where you just want to keep reading and not review so that you can read more and more (at least, that's how I am). Let's see if I can motivate myself to get the other two done! :)

loving the vamp one :D

I tend to go in the hole on a regular basis, and then have to write 4 or 5 reviews at once, trying to remember what I wanted to say about the books.

They are awesome, thank you!

I am so far behind on review writing that it's gotten a bit ridiculous. When will I learn to review immediately after reading? There are some books I need to write up that I barely remember reading (which I guess means they were just okay reads). Thankfully I do tend to write first impressions in Goodreads... But I think I'll look through your pretty buttons for a moment... then get back to review writing!

Now I dont't feel so bad. I'm only 2 behind and one is for a short story. Of course, I've only just started writing reviews last month so that might have something to do with it. And what am I doing instead of reviews? Checking out all of my favorite blog sites!

Cute buttons - I am behind too and it's completely due to my slacking by surfing the net instead of reading and writing reviews. It's a slump that I am desperate to get out of sometime soon. I am actually behind on my books for review pile and it's scaring me. :(

Good luck with getting your reviews written and posted - I am sure you will catch up sooner than I think I will. :)

I don't even want to tell you how far behind I am. I've got several written by hand, I have several more I need to write, and I have so many to read it's beyond ridiculous.

The buttons are really cute! Thanks for sharing with us!

@Amy - Thanks! I know, but I keep reading more and more instead of taking the time to write a review. I've been getting so many good books in. I just can't take it anymore. LOL Review slump stinks. Now, with the scared to read...that is just odd.

@aubibliophile - You are welcome.

@soulunsung - Great! I'm a sucker for the Harlequin pattern too.

@Billy - welcome!

@Megan - I think I might finish the series I'm reading (1.5 to go) and then write them all out! I'm making an ultimatum to myself. Thieve away, no credit needed. These are free for the taking!

@Kira - Motivate away. I think I might bribe myself with ice cream. LOL

@So many books - I think that one might be my favorite too...

@Sarah - I have been forcing myself to write quick notes though...adjectives mainly or one liners. So I am doing that TG.

@Kate - Welcome. You know, sometimes waiting a little bit makes for a better review. Let's your thoughts come together. Or at least that is my excuse.

@Jen B. I went through a short story kick for awhile - oh my talk about get into a slump quickly with those. LOL well thanks for stalking me instead of review writing.

@Chrystal - Twitter is review writing procrastination spot for me. You know the review pile can be the scariest thing imaginable. I once had a half of a shelf. Then I had a whole shelf. I now have a whole bookcase. I get the shivers walking past.

@Paranormal Haven - I had fun with that one.

@Juju - it's our life it would seem.

@Jess - Thanks!

@EJ - ha ha!

@Kristen - snag away.

@inga - Yes. Yes I did. My creative brainpower is scary isn't it? LOL

@Kristi - Thank you! I'm still waiting for the cookies ;)

@MamaKitty - How do you guys write them by hand! *hand cramping as I think about that!*

Gosh. I thought I was the only one in this mess. I've been thinking about cutting back on books to review, so I can focus on my huge pile to be read for my own pleasure. It's hard though...so many great books, so little time. I'm torn. Thanks for the cool buttons! I running off with a couple!

Great buttons!

I'm the same way. My neighbors dog barks at all day and then continues at all hours of the night and it's distracting. I have a hard time being productive with stuff like that. I hope their practice doesn't last too much longer!

Love the buttons - especially the vampire one!

I'm at least 6 books in the hole for reviewing. It takes me so long to write a review that I tend to procrastinate. :-(

The buttons are so cute. Thanks for sharing them. I'm stuck in a hole too. From the looks of the comments, many of us are with on you on this.

OMG!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!--and the buttons are awesome pretty, too!!! ;D

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who gets behind or wants to just read for fun!--It doesn't feel like so much of a hole if it's filled with lots of other people!!! ;D And also, because you're one of my blogger-heroes---I hope this doesn't sound as bad as it sounds in my head, but knowing that YOU can fall behind, or get in a funk makes being an awesome blogger seem more achievable, and takes away some of the pressure (even if it's only inside my head).

p.s. may I recommend ear plugs?--if you're worried about missing an alarm, test them out on a weekend, or only use one--I started using them because I like to have the window open, but then the garbage truck would come, followed by the lawnmowers, oh, and there's a mechanic next door... and just when it would finally stop, I would hear the kids coming home from school and playing outside--once it started it seemed like there was ALWAYS something to take it's place--traffic or an annoying bird...or the neighbor's base... So I picked up some earplugs, and OMG SAVED.MY.SANITY. (open to interpretation) ;)

p.p.s. LOVE the pretty buttons! :D
