About me… At first, I kinda didn’t get blogging…I moved last April, and I was feeling the itch to get back to my creative side. I'm originally a mid-western girl, who's been transplanted in California. I have a B.A. in writing. And aside from my obsession with reading, I also like to travel, hike, take pictures, and embroider. After moving to CA, I started playing around with the idea of a blog, and then an actual blog…but I didn’t really know where I was going (that’s a big theme in my life—I’m extremely geographically challenged and get lost a lot!!!).
But then one day, I read a book (LIFTED by Wendy Toliver)—An absolutely AMAZING FANTASTIC GORGEOUS book, that I had to TELL somebody about. And that’s when I GOT IT—That’s when I really started blogging. Lately, I’ve kind of been on a YA kick, and that’s mostly what I blog about. But I also read just about everything else and watch tons of movies (that’s an understatement)(seriously, I have three pages on my blog devoted to all the movies I’ve ever watched)—I guess I’m just naturally drawn to anything with a good story.

Happy Friday, Rachel!! It is honestly way to early for my brain to kick into 'amazingly gorgeous' book mode, so it's hard for me to really think about that one. But, I will say that I have epic love and respect for the YA books The Hunger Games and The Book Thief (amazingly talented authors), and of course, the BDB series. Yes, I know the books are hot and that's why they're on my list :), but she also knows how to tell a story, and tell it through the eyes of the different character personas amazingly well!
