Trailer Tuesday: Book Trailer vs. Movie Trailer

This really is like putting David up against Goliath - budget wise the film is going to have so much more money to spend on their trailer than a publishing house --- but which one do you like better?

I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies)I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies)

Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.

Our plan was to grow, and train, and become strong, and become one, and fight them. But they found us and started hunting us first. Now all of us are running. Spending our lives in shadows, in places where no one would look, blending in. we have lived among you without you knowing.

But they know.

They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They killed them all.

I am Number Four.

I am next.

That sounds terribly interesting. Have you read these?

No I haven't. It was up on the BWB polls so I was hoping that it would be chosen and was waiting. But they chose Paranormalcy instead {great book} so I guess I'll have to get it now.

I usually love these kinds of books and stories (I was a huge fan of the tv show, Roswell!) but I only gave I AM NUMBER FOUR a 2/5... Lots of people love it, but I didn't like the writing style at all... it was way too childish.

I think for once the film will be better than the book.

The movie trailer was awesome. I'm definitely going to go see it when it comes out.

The movie trailer has a lot more polish, but I think both were good. I'm definitely going to have to go pick up this book. It sounds really interesting.

Seriously, the MOVIE trailer gives me the chills! I love it. Cute boy, action packed! I can't wait.

The book trailer was a good effort, but the voice over is all wrong. :/

The movie trailer TOTALLY took this one, though I have to admit that the book trailer was better than some others I've seen. This story looks crazy interesting! I have to check it out!

I read this book before I knew that this is going to be a movie and that the movie rights were sold even before the book was published.

I LOVED this book, but I'm not here to discuss the book right? All I'm saying is, it's worth your time!

Coming back to the topic: Seriously, the movie trailer is awesome! I have to second Missie ( like to often...) it makes me shiver!
And I didn't like the Book Trailer voice.

I feel bad for judging like this, but it's just the truth.. *sigh* but, if there wouldn't be a Movie trailer to compare, I would like the Book trailer.. ( minus the voice of course)!

( and, I realized this was a truly rambling comment...)

Honestly the book trailer didn't inspire me as much as the movie trailer did. I was going to buy this book once but decided against it, but now I'm reconsidering.

I loved both trailers, but if I had to choose it has to be the movie trailer!
